About Aline

BACKGROUND: HUMAN RIGHTS, JOURNALISM, SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP, LANGUAGE SERVICES, INNOVATION

Aline is a Cartier Women’s Initiative, Summit and Halcyon fellow, and has been a speaker at numerous high-level events, including TechCrunch Berlin and several OECD, UN, and World Bank conferences. She was named Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year, ‘’‘Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Elle Impact Awards, as well as featured Arab America’s ‘40 Under 40’ list. She’s brought further recognition to NaTakallam as an MIT Solver, winner of the Expo Live Global Innovators’ Award and Qatar Foundation’s WISE Award. Aline is a passionate advocate for human and women’s rights and intercultural exchange. Her passion and expertise drives her leadership and guides NaTakallam through innovating for change in the education space.

AWARDS

In 2015, in light of the challenging work situation for the million+ Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and while searching for ways to practice her own Arabic skills, Aline came up with the idea for NaTakallam, which has grown into a larger social enterprise working in multiple languages and communities. 

Aline is a Cartier Women’s Initiative, Summit and Halcyon fellow, and has been a speaker at numerous high-level events, including TechCrunch Berlin and several OECD, UN, and World Bank conferences. She was named ‘Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Elle Impact Awards, winner of the World Bank Youth Summit, and regional winner of the MIT Inclusive Innovation Challenge. Aline is a passionate advocate for human and women’s rights and intercultural exchange. Her passion and expertise drives her leadership and guides NaTakallam through innovating for change in the education space.
